Going with the flow

going with the flow

I just pulled the Going with the flow card in Osho Zen Tarot.

Could I just as easily tossed a coin?

What I have:
Ace of Water (Go with the Flow)

An indistinct figure is floating in a large pool of water in which soft waves are rising and falling - the water is blue and empty and the figure appears to be naked and shallowly submerged in the water itself. The figure's posture is relaxed and reminds me of a loose version of the Hanged Man's posture - one leg tucked lightly behind the other, the left hand tucked behind the head while the other floats outward comfortably from the body.

I love this image - I have occasional dreams of being in this environment, where there is no weight pulling me down and soft rocking waves sooth and caress.

This is what I have - the ability to float freely in the sea of spiritual exploration with no need to pick a spot of solid ground. I can let it cradle me without clinging to it, go where it takes me without being driven toward or away from any specific path. And because this is an Ace, this method leaves me open to serendipitous opportunities to explore areas I haven't consciously considered before with an open heart.

Spirit of the inca bird,Music written and comp by André Tollenaar

Keep walking, though there's
no place to get to
Don't try to see through the distances
That's not for human beings
Move within, but don't move
the way fear makes you move

Campfire side

Poems by Shawn Nevins

I look without the veil of words
and that look is vaster
than any thought of mine.

The desert is sparse and vast.
These words of ours are desert echoes.

What will be the call you hear?

A reflection, a glance, one unguarded moment
and all is known.

Look up and out
away from the world of man.
Such looking out is looking in.

The trees and your mind rest in the same clear, blue sky.

The body is leaving on its own,
swimming in a pool of silence
that swallows every protest.

Writing about this destination is ludicrous.

Dip your mind into the setting sun.
Leaving by such passing
is closer to the truth.

While all words fail to convey depth,
the wind carries a pervading message:
Lose your place in line,
turn to face your mystery,
and open your denying arms.

The dream doors have collapsed
and empty air speaks silent volumes.

Love is no answer.
It already holds all in its grasp.

Your answer is beyond these dealings,
beyond thoughts and feelings,
and in the realm of seeing
all that is leaving --
holding to no thing that does not last.

I am the space
between grasses
blown by the wind.

Everything moves through me.

You turn to the world that beats at your door
because this body is tuned to life's needs
and not your soul's.

Where is your true life
among this fog of being?

Where is rest,

Only by remembering the possibilities,
wonder stolen by imagined consequences,
shuddering questions raised by fanciful twilight moments, and dreams of perfection,
will you close your door to this world,
then, later, let it pass through your empty home.

Toro, originally uploaded by Rick Insane Diego....

A Small Green Island

There is a small green island
where one white cow lives alone, a meadow of an island.

The cow grazes till nightfull, full and fat,
but during the night she panics
and grows thin as a single hair.
What shall I eat tomorrow? There is nothing left.
By dawn the grass has grown up again, waist-high.
The cow starts eating and by dark
the meadow is clipped short.

She is full of strength and energy, but she panics
in the dark as before and grows abnormally thin overnight.
The cow does this over and over,
and this is all she does.

She never thinks, This meadow has never failed
to grow back. Why should I be afraid every night
that it won't. The cow is the bodily soul.
The island field is this world where that grows
lean with fear and fat with blessing, lean and fat.

White cow, don't make yourself miserable
with what's to come, or not to come.

Exceptionally Deep View Of Strange Galaxy (Hubblecast 26 in HD Quality)

A spectacular new image of an unusual spiral galaxy in the Coma Galaxy Cluster has been created from data taken by the Advanced Camera for Surveys on the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope. It reveals lots of new details of the galaxy, NGC 4921, as well as an extraordinary rich background of more remote galaxies stretching back to the early Universe.

When the captain sees the girl,
he immediately falls in love with her
like the Caliph.

Don't laugh at this.
His loving is also part of infinite love,
without which the world does not evolve.

Forms move from inorganic to vegetation
to selves endowed with spirit
through the urgency of every love
that wants to come to perfection.

Our Closeness

Friend, our closeness is this.
Anywhere you put your foot
feel me in the firmness under you.

How is it with this love,
I see your world and not you?
